Discharging car lights on a mounting module

When mounting ESD sensitive components, electrostatic charges must be taken into account.

Various plastic parts, the circuit board and LED modules are assembled on an assembly line for different automotive headlights.

When mounting ESD sensitive components, no sparks must be allowed to fly!

During assembly of the modules, the electrostatically charged plastic parts come into contact with the ESD-sensitive electronic components. Small discharges of the charged plastic parts can therefore cause ESD problems. Another problem caused by the charging of the plastic parts is the attraction of dust from the ambient air.

Our solution

Installation of suitable small ionizers that can discharge the plastic parts to a non-critical level.
