Pile stacking in front of a palletizer

What is the function of a print product palletizer?

A palletizer in a print finishing plant removes a pile of printed products from a belt and places the pile on a pallet. The piles are pushed open in front of the palletizer and enter a rotating device, in which the piles are optimized for the palletizer. When a row is full, the gripper moves under the row of stacks and places it on the pallet by tilting it slightly.

The piles must be stabilized so that they do not slip.

After the push-open station, the piles slip when they are turned and when they are placed on the pallet. This very often results in a standstill because the piles have to be aligned by hand. During transport of the pallet, the piles fall apart.

Our solution

The targeted use of charging bars with different polarities means that even high piles of printed products can be transported safely.

POWER CHARGER

The POWER CHARGER units cover various performance stages and charging applications. They can be operated either with a supply voltage of 24 V DC or a line voltage in the range of 85 V – 264 V AC. The output voltage is 75 or 150 watts. A membrane keyboard or an optionally available, integrated touch panel is used to control the generators. POWER CHARGER units can be operated using analog operation or via digital fieldbus interfaces. At the market launch, a control system that uses CANopen and ModbusTCP are available. The modular system is only prepared for integrating other fieldbus standards.   Protocol/device description files of the fieldbus interfaces for integration into the machine control: Information on fieldbus integration
